DVDFab Media Player 3.0.0.1 for Windows Officially Released
Fengtao Software has today released DVDFab Media Player 3.0.0.1, a minor update to its Windows media player software, which is able playback DVDs and Blu-rays with smooth menu navigation support. The new update comes out removing the support to the aged Windows XP operating system, alongside with a few bug fixes.
Windows XP No Longer Being Supported
It is no surprise that as an aged operating system which was released back in 2001, Windows XP is being dumped by many software vendors, including its inventor Microsoft. Unfortunately, this time comes the DVDFab’s media player software. Actually, Fengtao Software has previously dropped its support to Windows XP in its famous DVD, Blu-ray and video backup software. To those who are still using this outdated OS, if you have no real intention to ditch the OS, then you can choose not to make the update to DVDFab Media Player 3.0.0.1, and if you have already gone further and want to go back to version 2, then Fengtao Software gives you the chance to get it back at its download center.
A Couple of Other Bugs Get Addressed
The new version is believed to be more stable than the initial version 3.0.0.0, as it has fixed a few issues that might cause the player unstable, including an installation problem when installing on Windows Server, a problem that the region B Blu-ray discs do not play back, a problem that the screenshot resolution is not correct, a crash problem when starting multiple instances, a problem that the added external .srt subtitle fails to show up, and some minor changes and improvements.
